Taya Larenkova Sanders, MS, LAPC, NCC
My name is Taya Larenkova Sanders. I am an Atlanta-area counselor providing therapy to individuals, children, and families.
I believe that every one of my clients, regardless of age, has innate inner wisdom, beauty, strength, and self-direction to ameliorate or overcome their issues. I build relationships with my clients that help them feel safe, cared for, and accepted. The environment which I provide encourages my clients to open up, experience, test, and learn new ways of being.
I especially enjoy working with children through play therapy. The process that begins during play therapy allows me to enter children’s world and understand what happens in their hearts. My love for children made developing the Atlanta Child and Family Therapy, LLC a delightful and rewarding experience.
I would be honored to help you and your family. Together we will find the path of over-coming the issues with which you are struggling. I will help you to build a sense of your confident, motivated, loving, responsible and authentic self.
I began my psychology studies in Ukraine where I completed a Specialist Degree from Rivne Institute of Slavic Studies of Kiev University in 2002. I earned my second Bachelor’s Degree in 2008 and a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University in 2011. I have been practicing Play Therapy since 2012 and have earned Registered Play Therapy Certification granted by Association for Play Therapy. I am especially sensitive to cultural issues, and offer therapy in English, Russian, Ukrainian, and Polish.
